The Winner Quarry supplies Roxul West Inc. with raw material for manufacturing fireproof insulation at it's plant located in Grand Forks, BC. RCMI's involvement in the Winner Quarry project was to plan and conduct the 2002 blasting operation in a safe and efficient manner.

The IG Machine and Fibres Ltd.'s quarry in Ashcroft is owned by IKO Industries. The manufacturing plant produces the coloured granular coating applied to asphalt shingles. The plant produces the granules at a current rate of 30,000 tonnes per month.
RCMI's involvement with the IG Machine and Fibre Quarry project is to provide size specific blast rock for crushing and processing.

Oil sand is mined using electric shovels with buckets that hold 100 tonnes, and are capable of filling heavy hauler trucks with a capacity of 240 to 400 tonnes. The mine delivers about 400,000 tonnes of oil sand per day to ore preparation plants.
Some oil sands and overburden are too consolidated for productive excavation, RCMI provides blasting services to loosen the material for the shovels.

RCMI provided rock on ground services to Terrane Developments.
RCMI provided rock on ground services for North American Construction (www.northamericanconstruction.com) to enable site preparations for De Beers (www.debeerscanada.com) first diamond mine in Ontario. The site required approximately 2,500,000 m3 of blast rock.
